Care Instructions:

  • This is an unframed, original artwork.
  • Please note that this piece should ideally be framed to protect it from humidity and other wear. This piece is a standard size, which is generally much easier and cheaper to frame than custom-size work. I'd be happy to provide recommendations for local framers!

Pickup/Shipping:

  • All works are available for local pick up in Arlington, VA.
  • Some artwork from this series can be shipped within the US, determined on a case-by-case basis. If you need artwork to be shipped, please reach out via email before purchasing. Please note that packing + shipping costs are not included in the listed price! [email protected]

About this series:

Most of the imagery in this ongoing series of prints is created with hand-cut paper stencils, which often reference human anatomy, nature, and domestic environments. The anatomical imagery is inspired by my own medical scans and X-rays: the curvature of my spine deformity, fragments of bones overlayed against one another, and medical hardware that has been embedded in my body during surgical interventions.

What I enjoy most about monotype printmaking is the ephemeral nature of the process itself. Unlike types of printmaking that reproduce the same composition multiple times, monotype printmaking effectively eliminates the possibility of creating the same image twice. This limitation embedded in the process itself echoes the limitations of memory and the body.
