(Un)Tethered
(2025)

(Un)tethered was a solo exhibition about grief, caretaking, memory, and my relationship with my mother. Drawing upon my personal experience of caring for my mother when she was ill, and the incomprehensible void that was left after she died, the work in this show reflects on the fragmentary nature of memory, and the enduring bonds and rituals that tether us to loved ones who have passed on. The exhibition was on view at MoCA Arlington (Arlington, VA) from June 13 - September 7, 2025.

Ordinary Sanctuary
(2023)

Ordinary Sanctuary was a solo exhibition that explored the connections between domestic architectural spaces and healing. Through delicate paintings on gessoed paper, these works drew on personal associations between my memories of home from childhood and a much more recent experience of spending several months recovering from a major surgery there. The exhibition was on view at VisArts (Rockville, MD) from May 31 - August 8, 2023.

Body, Joy, Cage, Scar
(2021)

Body, Joy, Cage, Scar was a solo exhibition featuring drawings, embroidery, sculpture, and video that explore the human body as a tool, a worksite, and a raw material. The exhibition responded to my experience recovering from a 13-level spinal fusion surgery in 2020. This exhibition was on view at MoCA Arlington (Arlington, VA) from September 25 - December 18, 2021.

Feminicity
(2017)

Feminicity was a solo exhibition that followed an 8-week Artist Residency where I activated the gallery space by inviting public visitors to donate clothing, share the story of their garments, and witness the gallery transform as the donated clothing was wrapped and woven through the armatures hanging in the gallery.

This residency and solo exhibition took place from July 22 - September 18, 2017, and was the first iteration of a series called IMMERSION, which was funded in part by the National Endowment for the Arts.

Skin  Contention
(2013)

Skin Contention was my first solo exhibition. I utilized crocheted blankets (some found and others made by maternal ancestors) as a core material in multiple installations and a recorded video performance. The exhibition aimed to challenge cultural notions of feminine beauty and domesticity. It was on view at Point Of Contact Gallery (Syracuse, NY) from January 31 - February 20, 2013.
